Snails can be sprayed away with a mixture of ammonia and water. You won’t hurt your plants with ammonia, and it will actually be converted into nitrogen that is beneficial later. You will get rid of the snails on your plants, and they will not cause any more damage to your garden. You can use this mixture every day.

Make sure the soil is moist all the way through. Lay the sod in rows, and make sure the joints do not overlap. Make sure that the sod forms an even, flat surface, and if you have any gaps show between the sod, fill them with a little bit of soil. Keep the sod moist and avoid walking on it until it is well-rooted, usually two to three weeks.
